Email Approval Error for UC Davis Health PIs - Subaward Invoice Approvals

Description

Principal Investigators (PIs) with @health.ucdavis.edu email addresses are unable to approve Subaward AP Invoices via email notifications. Clicking the "Approve" or "Reject" buttons in the email results in the error: "Your response to this notification was not processed."

Reason: This issue stems from a need to update how Health email identities are surfaced and shared across systems. Aggie Enterprise doesn’t recognize @health.ucdavis.edu addresses because the campus identity system only provides @ucdavis.edu addresses. Replies from Health addresses aren’t matched, so email approvals fail.

Workaround: Impacted users should not use the email buttons and instead click the “Worklist Application” link within the email to log into Aggie Enterprise and approve invoices directly. ·PIs should be sure to log in using their campus Single Sign-On credentials and complete the approval.
