Attaching Document at the Requisition Line Level Results in an Error

Description

Users have identified an issue where attaching a document at the Requisition line level results in the error “Couldn't create requisition line* The upload associated with the AsyncTrackerId attribute value has already been assigned”  unless every additional line contains an attachment. Supply Chain Management and Admin IT are investigating.

To recreate the error:

  • Attach a document to a requisition line when utilizing a Non Catalog smart form.
  • After adding the line with an attachment to the cart, select Create Another Request.
  • If a document is not attached to the new requisition line, this second line will NOT be added to the cart, instead generating the error:
“Couldn't create requisition line* The upload associated with the AsyncTrackerId attribute value has already been assigned”.

This impacts both Quantity Based and Fixed Price lines.

Workaround and preferred method: Put all attachments in the Requisition Summary section of the requisition instead of the requisition line. This preferred method makes it easier to locate attachments and avoids this particular error.

  1. Open Requisition
  2. Click the Edit pencil in the Requisition Summary section.
  3. Scroll down to attachments.
  4. Add attachments to the attachments area.
