FISDS Downtime and Upgrade

Action required for some users who want to continue accessing the database.

FISDS will be unavailable starting Friday January 31, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. and is expected to be available again by Sunday, February 2, 2025 at noon. The database is being migrated to a new host in preparation for its eventual retirement.

After the migration, you may need to update your client settings before you can log in.

Logging in After the Migration

  • If you use the LDAP service to connect to our databases:
    • no action is required
       
  • If you use hostnames or are coming from the Medical Center:
    • update your LDAP string to FIS_DS_PRD_EXT
       
  • If you don’t use LDAP:
    • Medical Center users use: ait-ds-prd-external.rds.aws.ait.ucdavis.edu
    • Campus users use: ait-ds-prd.rds.aws.ait.ucdavis.edu
    • The instance name remains the same: dsprod.
    • The port also remains unchanged: 1521.
