A Message From Vice Chancellor Clare Shinnerl
Prioritizing Aggie Enterprise Training and Hands-on Environment
Quick Summary
- Prepare for the Aggie Enterprise go-live on January 1, 2024, by engaging with training resources and hands-on experience from October 2, 2023. Collaborate with the Change Network and Super Users for a successful business transformation.
On Sept. 21, 2023, UC Davis Finance, Operations and Administration Vice Chancellor Clare Shinnerl sent the following message to future Aggie Enterprise users:
Dear Colleagues,
As we draw close to our go-live date of Jan. 1, 2024, I want to emphasize the critical importance of training and hands-on experience with Aggie Enterprise. These final months leading up to go-live are a pivotal phase in our project, and our success hinges on our readiness.
Here are some ways to prepare:
- Training: Our training materials have been developed to equip each new user with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the new system. I encourage you to fully engage with these resources and seek clarification on any concepts you find challenging. To access training, visit the Aggie Enterprise website and select a module: Finance, Project Portfolio Management or Supply Chain. (Note: Training for Aggie Enterprise Planning will be available in early 2024 to prepare users for cutover from AggieBudget in July 2024).
- Hands-on Environment: The hands-on environment, which becomes available on Oct. 2, 2023, offers a unique opportunity to apply your learning in a practical context. I encourage you to attend the Hands-on Environment Kick-off to learn how to get the most out of this platform.
Hands-on Environment Kick-off
Monday, Oct. 2, 2023
2-3 p.m.
Via Zoom
- Collaboration and Support: As you explore the hands-on environment, I encourage you to share your insights, experiences, and best practices with your colleagues. Should you need support, please reach out to a Change Network member or Super User in your unit or contact our Help Desk.
By investing time and effort into familiarizing yourself with the system and business processes, you are not only ensuring your own success but also contributing to the overall success of the project.
I look forward to navigating this important business transformation effort with you. Thank you for your commitment and dedication.
Warm regards,
Clare Shinnerl
